Youth/Adult Reliance & Job Connection
At-Risk Youth & Adult Computer Training

Through our Youth/Adult Reliance & Job Connection program we provide participants with basic and advanced computer skills training, job search, literacy in reading and comprehension and work readiness skills that will enable them to obtain employment and acquire high paying jobs. The high school students that successfully complete our training program will receive 5 elective credits towards their high school graduation. Our goal is to assist and counsel youth to stay in school or return to school and for adult participants to be better prepared for employment in technology related fields.

Youth/Adult Environmental Services in Landscaping
At-Risk Youth & Adult Environmental Training

In our environment education area we work with youth and adults to train them in park development, parkland creation, and environmental service projects to enhance community livability. We are in the process of developing and expanding our Youth/Adult Environmental Services in Landscaping (YAESL) Program where our participants will research possible careers with a focus on the care and maintenance of the environment. An advisory committee of Green Collar Industry professionals and academics in the public and private sectors will serve as guest speakers and career awareness mentors. To further their professional capacity, participants will learn to translate their experience into professional skills and will be trained in job interview techniques.

"Daring to Dream"
Role Model Video

"Daring To Dream" is Project Amiga's vision for the creation of a Mentor Program dedicated to encouraging young girls to pursue higher education.
